SDG implementation in Central Asia with a focus on SDG 16+ and 17 from CSO perspective

On 9th of July, 2021 at 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. (Almaty time) for the first time in the history of the Central Asian region within the framework of the UN High-Level Political Forum–2021 a side event SDG implementation in Central Asia with a focus on SDG 16+ and 17 from CSO perspective” will be held.

This event is organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations and Civil Society Development Association (ARGO) for the purpose of preparing a review on the implementation of the SDGs in Central Asian countries.

Speakers:

  • Jamila Asanova, director of ARGO, vice-chair of the Asia Development Alliance, Kazakhstan;
  • Bobur Bekmurodov, chairman of the Nationwide Movement “Yuksalish”, member of the Parliament of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • Lyazzat Kaltayeva, chairperson of the Board of the Central Asian Disability Forum (CADF), Kazakhstan
  • Timur Nurlobekov, director of “Fidokor”, Tajikistan;
  • Erkina Ubysheva, director of SmartZharan, Kyrgyzstan.
