A youth club for people with disabilities and a volunteers’ school opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk

1 February, 2014, Ust-Kamenogorsk – a youth club opens its doors to young people with disabilities. The club opened with the support of “Bliss” psychological center within the framework of “Empowerment now!” national informational campaign, supported by the Association of Civil Development (ARGO), and funded by the US Agency of International Development (USAID).

There have already been several meetings, gathering the disabled youth, as well as other citizens. There they discussed the evens to participate in the national informational campaign “Empowerment now!”

According to the depute of the executive of “Bliss” psychological center, Anzhelika Mersiyanova, the lessons at the volunteers’ school also turned out to be interesting for young people. They received the information and printed materials on such questions as integration of the disabled people into society, and the importance of the social advertising in the informational campaign.

At the separate lecture, the listeners learn about major types of disabilities of people with special needs.

In the future, the listeners can attend the lectures, where they can learn how to present effectively, how to improve communication skills. It will help them to interact with big audiences, as well as with separate people.

Those, who complete the volunteers’ school program, will take an active part in the planes events within the framework of “Empowerment now!” program, conducted by “Bliss” psychological center.
